Dipl.-Geol. (Univ.) Markus Mentele gratuated in February 1997 at the Bavarian Julius-Maximilians-University of Wuerzburg. Since 1999 he is a member of the Professional Association of German Geoscientists (BDG) and of the hydrogeology section of the German Geological Society.

On 01-06-2009 he was authorized as PSW by the Bavarian State Office for the Environment (LfU) in Augsburg under the recordal number 06/847/09 .
